Communication Let Me Down - Spandau Ballet 1983

Communication Let me Down - Spandau Ballet

A lesser hit from the collection of Spandau Ballet from 1983.
Where did those 37 years go !!

Wouldn’t it be great if I managed to communicate well on every occasion ?

I must be honest and confirm that often I get it spectacularly wrong.
And I notice this happens when I use social media, where too often, I am caught up in the busy-ness of the day.
Life has been crazily busy in recent years, and I guess this is probably so true for us all.

I was once shown the principles of THINK :-
Is it TRUE ?
Is it HELPFUL ?
Is it INSPIRATIONAL ?
Is it NECESSARY ?
Is it KIND ?
When I do get communication right, it is usually when I have taken the time to follow the above principles.

I have some friends where even unintended mis-communication is never ever taken the wrong way.
However, there are others that will issue an immediate and hasty retort.

Communication in a loving environment should always follow the THINK rationale.
However, especially during these challenging days, there is plenty of scope for using communication to assert power, adopt a must win attitude (so that someone must lose), or simply not to THINK about the power of words.
The tongue is one of the smallest muscles in the body, but it can wreak huge damage when used in the wrong way.

Given that some people are struggling within their immediate family unit, and also within their wider family, can we please all time to practice the THINK code.
And talk rather than text ( if at all possible).

Now wouldn’t that be nice.

Love and peace.
